About the workshop
Swami is an innocent character who strongly believes in friendship. As Swami’s journey in Malgudi took him through different aspects and experiences of early 1940’s India, a number of questions arise for the readers. Why did Swami find it difficult to fit into schools? Did Swami want to be part of freedom movement protests? How does Swami resolve fights between friends? Could he have bid adieu his friends moving to different cities better? Joy of Anubhava explores some of the complex nature of Swami as depicted by R.K. Narayan in various art forms over a 2 week-long workshop. We will have 4 online session in total, two in each week for 1 hour followed by engaging home-based activities.
