On the 140th birth anniversary of the “Iron Man of India” Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel; Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” initiative. Commemorating the occasion, to awaken a deep sense of national integrity with cultural heritage & Indian identity ahead of all, My Home India is organising a mega event with the same title ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Mahotsav’ (EBSBM) at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts, New Delhi on April 15, 2023. EBSBM will promote cultural vividness under one single flagship programme enhancing the spirit of unity in diversity of each Indian State and Union Territory for which India stands out in the global community. My Home India will be celebrating festivals of all states especially those on priority which are yet to get sufficient attention in comparison to statehood day and/or state festivals of established States at a large scale.
The event will provide a unified common platform and theme of bringing out the best of each State & Union Territory. Folk dance & Music, traditional art forms, cuisines, artifacts, screening of films from best talents with human interest stories from every corner of the country, and most importantly legendary popular stories along with interesting lesser known facts about each State, their contribution & significance will be showcased, in the same line with Government of India’s flagship programme. This event celebrating India’s glorious history, its people & diversity has become more significant at this time when India is proudly hosting the G20 presidency with the theme of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
