Defending against common types of Web Application Attacks

Web applications can be vulnerable to attacks, which can allow cyber criminals to gain access to data and other sensitive information.

Common web application attacks include cross-site scripting, SQL injections, path traversal, local file inclusion and DDoS.

In this session, we will cover how to protect our cloud environment against common type of Web application attacks. We will focus on Azure WAF services which is a cloud-native service that protects web apps from common web-hacking techniques such as SQL injection and security vulnerabilities such as cross-site scripting. WAF provides centralized protection of your web applications from common exploits and vulnerabilities. Web applications are increasingly targeted by malicious attacks that exploit commonly known vulnerabilities.
