Rakhigarhi is an archaeological site located in the Hisar district of Haryana. It is one of the largest and most important sites of the ancient Indus Saraswati Valley Civilization, also known as the Harappan Civilization. The site is situated on the bank of the dried-up Sarasvati River, which flourished around 3500 to 1900 BCE. It was a sophisticated urban center with planned streets, drainage systems and brick houses.
