After the unprecedented success of 4 events in a row,
Chiplun Cycling Club is bringing a unique state-level competition for the first time.
King of Kumbharli Ghat - 2022 (First edition)
This is the first year of this competition and every year this competition will be held regularly.
The competition starts from Chiplun city in the foothills of Sahyadri and passes through mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and nature.
Rules.
-Wearing a helmet during the entire ride will be mandatory.
-Motor operable or machine-driven bicycles cannot be used in competition.
-All traffic rules will be mandatory.
-Vehicle support or drafting cannot be done from behind any vehicle.
-Competition is going to be one way only.
-The rider violating the rules will be disqualified and will never again be invited or admitted to the next edition onwards.
Convenience.
-Accommodation and meals will be provided to all riders on the day before the competition.
-Breakfast will be provided on the morning of the day of the competition.
-Full-time ambulance, as well as a first-aid facility, will be provided in the competition.
-Water and Energy Drink will be provided from time to time during the competition.

-The competition will be held in one way only.
-The competition for the state-level open group will end at Kumbharli Ghatmatha-Police Chowki.

-The competition for the district-level category will end at Sonapatra temple.
-Adhar card is mandatory for all district category riders. If anyone takes an objection. Adhar will be a source of truth for residential proof.
-The rider will be fully responsible for the return journey.
-As there is a steep descent on the way back, everyone is requested to cooperate with the organizers by cycling slowly

Historical Information about Kumbharli Ghat
Kumbharli Ghat, situated on the Chiplun-Karad road, is considered a difficult ghat.
