Christmas Cake Mixing Ceremony at at 080 Lounge, Bangalore

Signaling the start of the festive season, Travel Food Services (TFS) is delighted to invite all the travelers to their annual Christmas Cake Mixing celebration. The activity will be led by seasoned chefs, on-ground team, travelers and media personnels across all lounges in India. 080 Domestic Lounge in Bangalore will mark the start of the season with an interactive cake mixing ceremony on 8th November, 2023 followed by other lounges by TFS on 17th November, 2023.

The mixing session will be held in the inviting ambiance of the 080 Lounge, Terminal 1, Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore. Christmas Cake mixing is a tradition rooted to symbolize unity and camaraderie where everyone comes together to mix a variety of ingredients like fruits, nuts, and spices, soaked in alcohol. The blended ingredients are left to soak, allowing the flavors to meld and intensify, resulting in delicious cakes enjoyed during the Christmas festivities. The Macerated fruits from the ceremony will be used further for baking Plum cakes, Travel cakes and mince pies along with other delicacies that will be retailed in the Christmas Chalet of 080 Lounge from 7th December to 28th December, 2023.

Following the cake mixing ceremony, all participants will be hosted for a High Tea experience at the 080 VIP Lounge. One can indulge in old-fashioned eggnog, mulled wine complemented by an array of savories like croquettes, wontons, quiches, crostini and bruschetta. Relish the classic Christmas plum cakes, cheesecakes, gingerbread and minced pie to conclude the evening on a sweet note.

To elevate this experience, the participating travelers will be gifted a mini DIY GingerBread House kit along with garnishes like M&Ms, jujubes, mini marshmallows and icing to make their gingerbread house. Guests can upload pictures of the prepared gingerbread houses on their personal Instagram handles and tag @080loungesbytfs to win exciting rewards like complimentary access for two to 080 Luxe Zone, complimentary lounge access at 080 for two, or a 20% discount at the bar.
