Put your analytical skills to the test and bid for players to create your cricket team. A limited sum of virtual money will be allotted to each team for placing bids. Each player up for bid will be attributed with specific points and a fixed base price. The team with the maximum cumulative points will be the ultimate winner.

If you love cricket, if you have followed IPL, and if you can mix common sense with passion into your bidding strategy, this event is a must for you.

Round 2: 12th March 2023. (10.00 AM to 2.00 PM)

Venue: Academic Complex, North Campus, COEP Tech.

Structure:

• BidWars is an auction-based competition with 2 rounds. Rules for both rounds are the same.
• Round one will be played by all participants who will be segregated into 8 classrooms of 20 participants each. Top 3 participants from each classroom from round one will get selected for the second round.
• Round 1 will be conducted on March 11th 
• Round 2 will be conducted on March 12th in the Mini Auditorium.

Rules:

• For the rounds, each participant will be permitted to buy a maximum of 5 players within a given fixed budget.
• The participant will have to form a cricket team consisting of at least 1 bowler and 1 batsman, 1 wicketkeeper & 1 all-rounder.
• There can be at most 2 overseas players.
• If a player has not been bought by any participant, that player will be available for bidding again.
• A sequence of players coming in auctions will be decided by the hosts of the auction.
• A warning will be given to each team if their balance reduces drastically but if a team still exceeds the maximum spending limit and proposes a bid, that team will be immediately disqualified.
• The team has to keep a track of its budget.
• Kindly go through all the above-mentioned rules if anyone is found not following the rules, That team/individual will be disqualified.
• The individual which completes, the cricket team of 5 players, fulfilling all the criteria, and having maximum cumulative points will win.

BizTrivia is a business quiz. It will be based on startups' history, the latest trends and news in the startup ecosystem, brands, upcoming technology, and everything in the world of Startups and business hegemons which were once start-ups

• Pen-paper based quiz 
• The quiz will be comprised of verbal questions, image-based questions, and audio-based questions.
• Time limits will get changed according to the type of question.
• There may be negative markings on some sets of questions. The marking scheme will be mentioned for every section.
• The top 8 candidates with the highest points will be shortlisted for round 2

Round 2:

• Buzzer based quiz
• The quiz will be comprised of verbal questions, image-based questions, and audio-based questions.
• Time limits will get changed according to the type of question.
• There may be negative markings on some sets of questions. The marking scheme will be mentioned for every section.
• The top 3 candidates with the highest points will be announced as winners during the valedictory ceremony

Brandscan tests the knowledge of the participants in the fields of businesses logos, business personalities, and marketing done by brands.

Companies get represented to the world by their logos, taglines, and advertisements hence it becomes necessary for brands and businesses to make them subtle. This fun quiz on logos and advertisements will check your observation skills. Emphasis will be given to brands and familiar personalities since the Quiz is intended for a general audience. Therefore, students & professionals are encouraged to participate.

To manage your personal expenses or to organize the event, it’s the budget that guides you through the process. The budget is not just a collection of numbers, but an expression of our values and aspirations. A combination of common sense and math skills is what it takes.

Structure:

• Participants will have to design a budget for a hypothetical event.
  
• A description of the event will be provided to the participants at the time of the competition.
• Concerning the type of event, a maximum budget will be given to the participant.
• The budget shouldn’t exceed that maximum value, if it would, then the participant will get disqualified.
• Participants will be given 40 minutes to design their budgets.
• Results will be calculated by the anticipated profit that participants will make from the event.
• The one with the maximum profit will win.

Guidelines:

3. All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity, and final judgments will be with the organizing committee of Pune Startup Fest 23, COEP Technological University Pune (Formerly known as College of Engineering Pune.)
4. The format and structure of events could be subject to change before the actual beginning of the event.
5. Prize money AND Positions will be reduced in case of lesser participation. (Less than 10)
6. NO REFUND will be given under any circumstances except less than 10 registrations by 4th March 2023
7. Entry fees are inclusive of ticketing charges.
8. Organizers will not be responsible for any injuries or mishaps that happened to the participants during the event.
9. Cross-college teams, inter-year of study teams, and individual entry are allowed however single member cannot be part of more than one team.
10. BidWars competition does not clash with any other event conducted by Pune StartUp Fest other than Consultant's Quest and MONOPOLY MARATHON. Kindly do not register for these two mentioned events if you are registering for BidWars. Other remaining 4 events are allowed.
