In this workshop, you will learn some basic fermentation. We will cover fermented drinks, foods, fermented nut cheese, pickles, and making a powerful enzyme all-purpose cleaner for your home using citrus waste. This workshop will be the first in a series, each will build onto the next giving you some tools to work with on your journey to the best version of you. Fermentation is an ancient technique of preserving food. Fermented foods are rich in beneficial probiotics. Did you know that 1/2 cup of fermented cabbage is equivalent to 100 capsules of probiotic? I don’t know about you, but I would prefer to make my own probiotics from real food and not a plastic pill.
This course will lead into a series, where the participant takes slow and steady steps to a greener lifestyle.
Each participant will have an active role in the preparation of the following techniques: Fermented cashew cream cheese, anti-inflammatory Pineapple turmeric Sauerkraut with a gutshot, sweet and spicy pickles, water kefir, citrus enzyme all-purpose cleaner made from citrus waste. Lunch will be provided with a sampling of all the ferments and how they can be used and future tastes for the next workshop.
