Books Chai & More

This month, Books, Chai & More, the Raah Book Club, will be discussing the book A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. Prior to the discussion we will watch the TV series based on the book. 

On 21 June 1922, Count Alexander Rostov is escorted out of the Kremlin and through the elegant revolving doors of the Hotel Metropole. Deemed an unrepentant aristocrat, the Count has been sentenced to house arrest indefinitely. Instead of his usual suite, he must live in an attic while Russia undergoes tumultuous upheaval. Can a life without luxury be the richest of all?

The book discussion will be led by Sameer Joshi, an artist & a poet. He is a Professor of English with the University of Maryland, US.
