Fireflies or lightning bugs make light within their bodies. This process is called bioluminescence and is shared by many other organisms. Fireflies are a fascinating sight at night. It’s no wonder they’re also known as lightning bugs. Neither flies nor bugs, fireflies are classified as beetles, living in meadows, forests, lawns and streams.
About Sandhan Valley: (The Valley of Shadow)
It is situated in the western ghats of Sahyadris. The valley is located on the west side of beautiful Bhandardhara region near Samrad village. The village itself is located approx. at 3000 fts above sea level. Valley is surrounded by Alang, Madan, Kulang, Kalsubai, Ratangad and Ajoba mountain range.This amazing place gives you the best of light and shadow experience while walking into it.
