Bengaluru Itihaasa Tour - By Namma Metro

Track Bengaluru's evolution from an agricultural settlement in early medieval era, to a trading hub in pre-modern era, to a military industrial hub of the modern era, and to a Information Technology powerhouse of the current times. Bengaluru has a very colourful past and many hidden interesting spots of historical importance to visit. We will bring alive the stories of Bengaluru as we make our way through these spots and examine inscriptions, old maps, old photographs, old paintings, historical structures & artefacts. 

THINGS TO REMEMBER

• We will be taking the public transport (Metro Rail) to get from one part of town to the other.

• Metro Tickets for transit during the tour

EXCLUSIONS

• Entry fee at monuments to be paid directly at the ticket counter. This is to keep the tour price uniform for both International and Indian participants. (Ticket prices charged at the monument is different) 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS   

Is there a dress code for the tour?   

There is no set dress code as such. However we will be visiting temples, dargahs and churches on our tour, so we would advice you to dress appropriately as a sign of respect to the cultural ethos of such places.  Do wear comfortable clothing and shoes if possible. A hat/cap on a hot day would also be useful. 

What else should be carrying on the tour? 

Carry water bottle for your consumption. Avoid carrying anything heavy since you'll have to carry it everywhere. 

Can I give our tour leader a tip? 

If you enjoyed your time on the tour and would like to tip your tour leader, please go ahead.  It is not a compulsion, but it surely will be appreciated

Can senior citizens participate on this tour? 

Yes any adult can participate on this tour, the only criteria is that they are able to walk / stand for few hours comfortably. Same goes for the Kids, as long as they are able to walk they can participate. 

TERMS & CONDITIONS 

1. Every purchased ticket permits entry to one individual only. 
2. Arrive at the tour start point on time, we will not wait for the late arrivals. 
3. If you wish to re-schedule your participation to another date then inform us at least 48 hours before the commencement of the trip. We will issue you a voucher that you can use to book a tour on some other date.  
   
4. If you wish to cancel your participation after booking for any reason, inform us at least 48 hours before the commencement of the trip. A cancellation fee of INR 500 per ticket will be charged for the same. 
5. The organiser reserves the right to cancel the event for any reason with prior intimation to the participants, including but not limited to health emergencies, inclement weather. In such an unlikely scenario, full refund will be issued to the participants. 
6. Cancellations or re-schedule requests less that 20 hours before commencement of a trip will be charged full fee.
