Trees are a part of India's rich cultural heritage and traditions from time immemorial. Many species we commonly see in our surroundings have been venerated, worshipped, protected, admired, and adored for thousands of years. In the current age where trees are planted for either economic considerations or ornamental purposes, we shall take a look at them from the perspective of their association with history and culture.

Want to know which trees and plants grow in NGMA Bengaluru premises!
NGMA Bengaluru is happy to announce the ar.bo.re.tum which also reminds the ideology of Gandhi who himself was a deep ecologist and, the immense value of nature, NGMA B is also delighted to conduct a Tree walk on the premises to help people to familiarise themselves with the flora and fauna, field methods and data collection. These kinds of programs help sensitize the people to the issues of sustainability and environmental protection, resulting in cleaner and greener habits that will result in an eco-friendly society.
