Program Overview

Team coaching is a powerful coaching methodology that helps organizations achieve goals and improve performance. It involves working with a group of individuals who work together with a common purpose and/or goal.

Team coaching upskills the team to build trust and psychological safety, develop an adaptive mindset, improve communication, enhance collaboration and feedback, and build stronger relationships.

APF Certified Professional Team Coach™ is an accredited ICF Team Coaching program which meets the educational requirements for the Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ICF ACTC), awarding 63hrs ICF CCUEs.

There are 4 modules in course which are

Module 1: Walk into the world of Team Coaching

This foundational module provides an in-depth introduction to the world of team coaching, focusing on its purpose, principles, and unique value.

You’ll explore the distinctions between team coaching and other team development approaches, such as facilitation, mentoring, and consulting, and understand what defines a "real team."

Through engaging discussions, case studies, and myth-busting exercises, you’ll gain clarity on the role of the team coach and the key principles that guide impactful coaching.

Whether you’re new to team coaching or expanding your skills, this module equips you with the essential insights to foster collaboration, trust, and lasting team success.

Module 2: Team Coaching competencies & Models

This module explores the essential competencies and frameworks that underpin effective team coaching.

Rooted in ICF Team Coaching Competencies, it goes beyond one-to-one coaching to address the unique dynamics of working with teams.

From ethical practices to fostering trust, presence, and growth, you’ll gain the skills to inspire transformation.

Learn the art of contracting with the "Six P" framework and dive into proven team coaching models, including Peter Hawkins’ 5C Model.

This module equips you to navigate complex team environments with confidence and drive meaningful, lasting change.

Module 3: Building High Performance Teams

This module provides a comprehensive guide to understanding and fostering high-performing teams.

Delve into the team coaching journey, aligning processes with ICF competencies, and learn strategies to identify and address dysfunctions within teams.

Through case studies & live participative discussions, you’ll uncover the key characteristics of high-value teams and what sets them apart.

Interactive group work and real-world scenarios equip you with actionable tools to transform challenges into opportunities and elevate team performance to new heights.

Module 4: Developing into Systemic Team Coach

This module guides you through the essential milestones of becoming a masterful team coach.

You’ll explore the principles of systemic thinking, gaining a holistic understanding of team dynamics and how to create lasting impact.

Discover what defines an effective team, when team coaching may not be the right approach, and key advice for new coaches stepping into this transformative role.

Through hands-on activities and practical takeaways, this module empowers you to navigate complex team scenarios with confidence and purpose, elevating your journey from foundational skills to coaching mastery.

Participants who complete all four modules, supervision sessions, case presentations and class work will qualify to receive 63 ICF CCUEs and meet educational requirements to apply ICF Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC) with ICF.
