NEP 2020 clearly emphasised on inquiry-based learning pedagogy for children. In fact, Inquiry-based learning is not limited to Science but can be extended to any subject including languages and Mathematics or Social studies. Attendees will be able to understand need for inquiry-based model, theoretical and practical basis of 5E model and its implementation in class room setting, responsibilities of teacher and students in each step of 5E model, and to make lesson plans as per 5E model. We will also discuss personal experiences in its implementation and necessary modifications that can be done to tailor the 5E model to virtual classes. We will also briefly touch up on "assessing" in Inquiry based learning. This masterclass will be facilitated by Mr. Himasagar Krishna Muthappagari – the Director of Bachpan and Academic Heights Public School and Bachpan Play School, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. By training, Mr. Muthappagari is a Biologist and a lab rat with degrees of Master of Science from Uppsala University, Sweden and B.Tech in Biotechnology from VIT University, Vellore.
